I can confirm that painting 28 mm miniatures isn’t fun. Tatsuya Tanaka works with even smaller miniatures, collecting, collecting them in a calendar. These tiny men and women interact with everyday objects in interesting ways: A piece of pasta can apparently be a good slide, a broccoli branch the perfect tree for a swing.
Tatsuya Tanaka started this work four years ago, and he’s not slowing down one bit! “The idea came from a comment on instagram, in which a follower wrote, ‘I want to see the miniature calendar everyday‘,” Tanaka said in an online interview. “So, while I answered by posting something daily, the thought of the project was too good for me to quit.”
